Aqui estoy, y tu…
A veces si, a veces no…
De repente llegas
Subito e intenso
Te develas, te confiesas
Al mismo tiempo
Y limpio de toda culpa
A otro encuentro
A tu conveniencia
Al cual no faltaras
Es tu deseo
Soy yo, tu unica debilidad.
Por un momento…
A ti mismo
Y yo te recibo

As always, I want to clarify that I am in no way associated with MOG or any other book, product, or site that I might recommend in these pages. I am merely boasting about a lovely find that I enjoy, or that has truly come through for me.
Designer Dog Breeds: Coordinating Your Pooch With Your Lifestyle
By Al Skender
There is a new craze in the dog-breeding world that you may not have heard much about…it’s called hybrid dogs or “designer” dogs.
What Is A “Designer Dog”?
A hybrid dog is a cross of two or more dog breeds normally chosen for their calm temperament, non-shedding qualities, or just plain old cuteness and charm. These designer dogs are bred to create a unique animal with a specific job and/or quality.
Hybrid vs. Purebred vs. Mutt
Hybrid dogs are not to be confused with mutts. The lineage of a mutt is a mystery – you have no idea who the parents are. On the other hand, responsible hybrid dog breeders will select parents from only the best purebred lines resulting in optimum characteristics and healthier dogs overall.
Not long ago, people used to pay hundreds of dollars in order to acquire a purebred dog. Now with the popularity of hybrid dogs on the rise, people now pay the same if not more for a mixed breed designer dog. Many breeders have taken this craze to a whole new level. We are now seeing a high demand for these hybrid dogs. Simply said people are designing their pets to match their lifestyles.
What Makes Hybrid Dogs So Popular?
There are many advantages of owning a hybrid dog. Many of these dogs tend to be healthier than the purebred dogs because there is less chance of inbreeding. There are also the benefits of choosing hybrid dogs for their unique qualities. The labradoodle for example, is a cross between a Labrador retriever and a standard poodle. This specific mix is known to create a hypoallergenic guide dog, perfect for people that need an intelligent assistance animal but are generally allergic to most dogs.
Want to Get A Designer Dog? Shop Wisely!
Getting one of these beautiful designer dogs is not always an easy task. Because of the popularity of hybrid dogs, you must always research the breeder and make sure they are not breeding these dogs strictly for profit.
Puppy mills are set up to produce puppies as fast as the mother dogs can give birth. This type of breeding environment is traumatic to both the mother and the puppies. Puppy mill dogs are not allowed time to bond with the mother as they are taken and sold off at a very young age. Often times the puppies and the mother are not given the proper amount of exercise and nutrition they need and are kept in cages for most of their lives. This can create emotional and physical problems down to road.
Another risk is that many puppy mill breeders will ship these puppies’ long distances to pet shops or pet owners who purchase them through newspapers and the Internet. These journeys take a heavy toll on the puppies and many sicken and die en route.
The decision to go with a hybrid dog ultimately boils down to your personal choice. Some people like the specific qualities of hybrid dogs, others prefer to go with the tried and true purebred dogs, and of course there are those that love the uniqueness of a mixed breed mutt.
Whatever your decision, just make sure to do your research first and that whatever dog you do choose fits in to your lifestyle and personality.
